Kwikstream's 7 Step Process

Collier Homes are the only builders with Kwikstream, the streamlined administration and approval process that means your home is ready to begin construction sooner, potentially saving you thousands of dollars in reduced rent, storage and associated costs. You'll feel informed and involved in each stage of the design, costing and administration and not left “outside the loop”.

STEP 1: Meet your Home Building Consultant

kwik-step1.jpgYou meet one of our Home Building Consultants and complete a Client Needs Profile. This is where we uncover all the design and building features that are important to you.

STEP 2: Design & costing phase

kwik-step2.jpgOn top of Collier's Comprehensive standard specifications, you can add other features to the plan. These are all documented in writing following our simple but thorough checklists. During this design and costing phase you'll also be introduced to our Client Needs Summary. This summary confirms the window sizes and room sizes, consideration of furniture placement, and so on, to perfectly meet your requirements.

STEP 3: Preparation of plans

The comkwik-step3.jpgplete documentation is compiled and we arrange for a licensed Surveyor to confirm the Lot boundaries and ascertain the location of essential services such as power, water, sewerage, level of land, etc.
At the same time, a Structural Engineer will prepare a Certificate of Inspection based on an assessment of soil samples on site and prepare a footing design specific for your new home lot.
During the preparation of these reports our Drafting Department will draw the plans, including elevation. The plans are then carefully checked against your written requests

STEP 4: Colour Selection Process

kwik-step4.jpgYour Home Building Consultant then brings you the plans in a personalised Building File, along with a Colour Pack (in preparation for the colour selection process). They will go through each room and elevation with you to ensure that the plans meet all of your requirements. The plans are then certified and the Building Contract signed.

STEP 5: Administration phase

kwik-step5.jpgYou will be allocated a Personal Assistant for the entire administration phase to answer any of your queries, give you regular updates and guide you through the exciting process of colour selection. This one person stays with you throughout the entire administration process.

They will arrange for your home's energy rating to be calculated to confirm the correct star-rating. Simultaneously, the plans will be lodged with the Local Authority and Water Corporation.

STEP 6: Applications and approvals

kwik-step6.jpgYour Personal Assistant will follow up with the statutory bodies to ensure that Shire, Water Corporation and Developer's applications are approved promptly. When all the approvals are received, we are now ready to start construction.

STEP 7: Building commences on your new home

kwik-step7.jpgWhen the building process begins, you will have direct access to your Building Supervisor and, because Collier supervisors only have a limited number of jobs to manage, you will be kept well-informed at each stage of construction.
